Gnome 2.9 开发版
GNOME 2.9.*是用于测试和Hack目的的不稳定的开发系列. 就像Linux内核一样, GNOME也使用奇数的版本号来指示开发状态. 所以现在的不稳定版本 GNOME 2.9最终也会变成稳定版 GNOME 2.10. 这里有现在的"模块列表":modules.list

测试
如果你不介意经常遇到 BUG, 并且愿意帮助加快 GNOME 2.10 的发布进程, 这里有一些可行的办法:
- GARNOME 从发行版的压缩包编译 GNOME 及其它的一些 GNOME 2.* 的软件.
- jhbuild 从 CVS 编译 GNOME, 包括稳定版和开发版和其它的一些GNOME 2.*的软件. 这版本请使用 gnome26 做为模块名.
- CVSGnome 同样也是从 CVS 或者发行版压缩包编译 GNOME
- XD unstable 是一个修改过的GNOME 2.9的版本, 包括来自 Ximian 的补丁, 有的来自GNOME 社区, 有的不是.
- "源码包":http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/GNOME/desktop/2.9/ 选择最新的版本目录进行下载.
